Tariff! is a quickfire card game where you’ll use aggressive actions, build up your profit, sabotage your rivals, and try to survive the chaos of unpredictable tariffs that can hit at any moment.

HOW TO PLAY

Take turns playing, peeking, stealing and discarding in this strategic survival card game. You can try bracing for tariffs or try avoiding them. But neither will keep you safe for long, especially with your rivals out to get you.

THIS IS THE
WRONG GAME

This is not the game we originally wanted to release. Best Frenemies was all ready to launch on Kickstarter but tariffs made manufacturing impossible without doubling the price for our backers. So we decided to lean into the chaos and create something that can still be manufactured now.

We made Tariff! to be a fun, satirical, and slightly painful game that captures our experience of the absurdity of real-world tariffs. We’ll still launch Best Frenemies when we can but until then, we’re laughing through the pain.

  • Honestly, we have no idea. No one knows what the tariffs will be next week let alone when we launch. But even with tariffs, we’re going to keep the game at a reasonable price.

  • Best Frenemies is roughly six times the size and that’s before you add the accessories. It therefore costs a lot more to make. Because tariffs then work as a percentage of that cost, they add a huge amount to Best Frenemies. Tariff! is much cheaper to manufacture and should only incur an extra few dollars, allowing us to still make and sell the game for a reasonable price.
